The Trail 7 is the mid-point of Cannondale's Trail hardtail range — enough bike for proper singletrack, without the price tag of a race machine.
The SmartForm C3 alloy frame carries SAVE shaping, internal cable routing and dropper post compatibility, so it can grow with the rider. An SR Suntour XCT DS coil fork provides 100mm of travel with a hydraulic lockout, letting you stiffen the front end for climbs and road sections.
Gearing is a 16-speed microSHIFT setup — an M36L rear mech with a 36/22 Prowheel double and an 11-34 Sunrace cassette — which puts a genuinely low gear at your disposal for steep, loose climbs. Tektro M275 hydraulic discs handle stopping with real control, and WTB SX19 rims on Shimano QC300 hubs make for a wheelset that will absorb a season of hard use.
Rolling on 29" wheels with WTB Ranger Comp tyres, it carries speed well over roots and rocks. This one is the Medium frame in Red / Black.
