The Treadwell EQ DLX is Cannondale's take on a city bike that is actually enjoyable to ride — light, upright and quick-steering, with none of the heaviness that usually comes with a fully equipped commuter.
The SmartForm C3 alloy frame and matching rigid fork keep the weight down to around 13.5kg even fully equipped. A Cruise Control riser bar and Intellimount stem put you in a relaxed, head-up position that works well in traffic, and the wide 27.5" Maxxis DTR tyres soak up potholes and kerbs.
The EQ DLX specification is the point of this model. A Shimano dynamo front hub powers lights without batteries, so there is never a ride where you have forgotten to charge them. Gearing is a simple 1x9 microSHIFT Advent with a wide 11-42 cassette on a 38T ring — enough range for city hills, nothing to fuss with. Tektro HD-R280 hydraulic discs stop confidently in the wet.
