The Lombard 1 is a drop-bar bike built for the city — fast enough to make a long commute enjoyable, tough enough to survive doing it every day.
The Series 2 6061 aluminium frame has internal cable routing and disc-specific forged dropouts with mudguard and rack mounts, so it takes fenders and a pannier rack properly rather than as an afterthought. There is built-in reflectivity in the frame graphics for visibility in traffic after dark.
Gearing is Shimano Sora, 2x9 across a 48/32 crank and an 11-34 cassette — 18 gears with a genuinely low bottom end for climbing with a loaded rack. Tektro road mechanical discs with 160mm rotors stop consistently in the wet and can be adjusted at the roadside with a multitool, which matters on a bike you depend on.
The wheels run high-volume Vee Tire G-Sport 700x40mm rubber with puncture protection on 21mm-inner rims — wide enough to take the sting out of potholes and rough city roads, and far less likely to leave you fixing a flat on the way to work. The compact 16-degree flared drop bar gives a secure hold in traffic. This one is the 56cm frame.
