The Rift Zone 1 is the way into Marin's full-suspension trail range — a real 140mm front / 130mm rear trail bike at a price that usually buys a hardtail.
The Series 3 6061 aluminium frame runs Marin's MultiTrac suspension platform, with Boost 148x12mm spacing, a threaded 73mm bottom bracket and ISCG05 tabs for a chain guide. Suspension is X-Fusion throughout — a Sweep Boost RC fork with compression and rebound adjustment, and an O2 Pro R rear shock on a custom tune. An X-Fusion Manic dropper post comes fitted as standard, which on a trail bike is not a luxury but the thing that lets you commit to a steep descent.
Drivetrain is Shimano 1x11 with a wide 11-50 cassette on a 32T narrow-wide ring — enough range to winch up a fire road and still pedal on the flat. Tektro HD-M280 hydraulic discs with 180mm rotors front and rear give the stopping power a bike of this travel needs.
Wheels are 29mm-inner tubeless-compatible alloy on 2.35in Vee Tire Snap rubber, and the cockpit is a 780mm riser bar on a short 35mm stem — modern trail geometry that stays calm at speed. This one is the 27.5in wheel, Small frame in black/blue.
